Please help. October 21, 2010 Ann After reading some of the questions above, I hesitate to try installing a restore point on my Dell laptop with the Vista program. Highly recommended. How do I enable restore point creation? Using the site is easy and fun. Both are running in my msconfig so that is not the problem.

Thinking that I might have errors in my registry that could cause the problem, I ran a registry cleaner software (Registry Defense).
Any idea on how to fix this? Type ?cmd? What?!?! The setup screen is grayed out so I can't change its settings.

I didn't want to go try anything like this and especially b/c I can't create a system restore point. Use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel to remove software from your computer.
Have you changed your Shadowcopy storage max size? Remember to reverse the above after restoration has taken place. Note: You mention Check to make sure shadowcopy is enabled under "system" Somehow I can't find where this is. Even HP support assistant finds no problem.
