Cannot Create /var/run/nscd/passwd No Persistent Database Used

http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2005-251.html Comment 21 Pawel Salek 2005-06-23 12:10:04 EDT The errata does not fix the issue, selinux related stuff is just the tip of the iceberg. That is why restartting the service does not solve the problem, but errasing the db does. Expected Results: nscd did not conflict with LDAP in previous Fedora releases and was useful for caching user information to prevent constantly searching the LDAP server. The Wiki doesn't seem to have an entry for it that I was able turn up via the search. Thanks,Brian Offline #2 2014-03-11 21:35:53 bcrescimanno Member Registered: 2014-03-11 Posts: 4 Re: Issue Add Stickiness To Your Site By Linking To This Professionally Managed Technical Forum.Just copy and paste the BBCode HTML Markdown MediaWiki reStructuredText code below into your site. We obtain the same behaviour for "group" But when editing /etc/ldap.conf by hand things run differently. Is it in all cases just a corruption of the database? It causes unconditional locking problem, because it was already replaced by Carlos' new patches. It works with either TLS or nscd but not with both together. It seems the entries in the persistent cache can occasionally get wrong life time (I have not seen any tools to dump the nscd cache, this might aid the debugging).

Ich beschränke mich auf die syslog-Ausgabe:couldn't open pid file '/var/run/named/named.pid': Operation not permittedexiting (due to early fatal error)Der macht immerhin einen setuid auf den User named. If these will run fine, this once again points to a name resolution problem.
