To confirm you are seeing the same issue, run SmeDump.exe (from \Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec System Recovery\Utility) and then review debug.txt which is created in the same folder. Does 3TB drive not supported? When I look at the Details for the group, it says it is trying to contact the client. the backup policy is assigned and has run recently on the same day, the computer missed none of the scheduled backups and there are recovery points for every partition on the Chkdsk also reported no errors.   1. Nuts to that idea because Seatools and Spinrite both declared the drive as sound.

No Yes How can we make this article more helpful? I dual boot win7 ultimate and ubuntu 12.04 - they are both on separate physical hard disks but I currently load into the Ubuntu hard disk and run windows 7 as I'm testing restoring via VMware. Cannot obtain available drive letters.

No hard drive errors. Just wondering if anyone out there has any best practices that would be helpful.   Thanks!   Justin

The issue is also fixed in Service Pack 3 (10.0.3) for Symantec System Recovery (SSR) 2011. Figure 1 shows the errors that are seen when accessing the SSR user interface.
