It has now reoccurred with a new laptop running Windows 7 64 bit and Office 2010. Installed Office 2003 Pro without any problems. Excellent! In Excel 2003, I was able to mess around in the clipboard options until it went away. get redirected here

This has been a problem in Excel for some time. (Actually, the problem seems to crop up in several different Office applications, not just Excel.)
