I got around the long file names by renaming directories to 1-2 chars. ive looked at 100`s upon 100`s of forums online, trying 100`s of different methods of deleting these folders... Delete the file or folder by using the DEL command to delete files or the RMDIR (remove directory) command to remove directories (folders). Booting into safe mode by pressing the F8 key while booting up may 'break' this connection and allow you to delete the folder normally.Worth a try.
