Cannot Delete Flash
You can check by opening My Computer and right-clicking the drive to enter it's properties. I did this approximately 1 week ago. Choose Start > Run. no more crash errors. Its also essential to provide the version number of the Flash Player you're using and your confirguration (operating system and browser version). It appears to uninstall, but the Flash9.ocx is left in place as well as the version information in the registry. I am using Windows XP and MS Internet Explorer 6.0. - The only other thing I can think to do would be to copy any files you DON'T want deleted on your compter's drive and then format the drive.
- And like fane_j pointed out, back it up first!
- If you have Internet Explorer or another browser open, that could be a cause.
- Windows can format a flash drive, but it has to be seeing the drive properly when it does - it can't delete the partition and make new one due to Microsoft's
