My friend could not explain why the messages could not be deleted directly having never encountered this particular problem himself. Amazingly, on this occasion, in between me posting and kev responding, Windows carried out an update to my system and the email deleted. I tried everything suggested.Finally, I exported the messages and contacts.Then I deleted the account and recreated it and imported everything.The messages that could not be deleted did not exist, technically speaking. if the above doesn't work (it didn't for me) ...try just dragging the email into your Deleted Items folder! - that's what I ended up doingcrazy - I couldn't delete it check over here Once applied for should now see any hidden folders in the folder youire in.

Windows Vista/7:1. You then can move the wanted messages into that new Inbox or delete the empty new Inbox and rename the folder containing the wanted messages to Inbox.
